This position is part of the Government Secure and Intelligent Documents, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
To qualify for the Distribution Facilities Specialist, PG -2030-13, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-12 grade level in the Federal Service that includes: Managing or Direct a warehouse or distribution operations to include receiving, storing, packing, inventory control, and shipping; provide input or conduct employee performance evaluations; establishing program objectives and performance goals for subordinate staff; and utilizes Microsoft Office suite programs, and an inventory management program(s) to coordinate activities and deadlines. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (05/27/2025) to be considered.
Coordinates and implements functions pertaining to the division’s supply chain operation, such as receiving, inspection, storage, inventory retrieval and distribution, transportation, and management of waste.
Responsible for the material handling equipment fleet, the evaluation of warehousing and storage, and the efficiency and accountability of receipts, issues, and distribution of items.
Establishes strategic short and long-term facility planning and manages the annual operating budget.
Oversees the coordination of warehouse personnel engaged in client interactions, customized reporting and the fulfillment and shipping of orders.
Functions as the designated system manager for the integrated computer system to include overall and functional components.
