About the position: This position will be a Kitchen Manager assigned to the Rockers Bar & Grill at Minot AFB, ND. This is a Regular Part-Time (RPT) position. 20-40 hours are guaranteed each week. Employees are eligible to use the fitness center, golf course, bowling center, clubs, and swimming pool.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience of food operations which provides the basic knowledge of food preparation, food delivery, catering, or establishing the administrative procedures and policies of such an operation. Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to explain work, following written instructions, determine equipment personnel required to perform task involved, identify, and solve problems relating to food and beverage trade. Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates and superiors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Establishes and carries out procedures to ensure high standards of food and beverage serving and promotional programs. Coordinates operations to include customer service; inventories; cash accountability; portion controls; food rotation, storage, preparation and delivery, and maintaining stock levels. Analyzes financial statements; prepares budget; compares cost to income and recommends adjustments to maintain solid financial condition. Responsible for work force management through interviewing; selecting, in processing employees; setting performance standards, providing on-the-job training; motivating employees; explaining work requirements, methods, and procedures, and defining the standards of quality. Reviews work while in progress, changes work assignments, evaluates work performance, and determines training needs. Counsel's employees, solves minor complaints, and forwards those requiring additional attention. Initiates disciplinary actions as required. Ensures that employees observe directives and rules on housekeeping, security, conduct and fire safety. Coordinates in the procurement of required merchandise, equipment, goods and services. Prepares various reports and other statistical and financial data. Maintains employee work folders (AF Form 971). Prepares food and beverages, cooks deliveries food, places and takes food orders. Trains cooks and kitchen staff in all kitchen procedures. Trains kitchen staff in the use and maintains of all kitchen equipment.
