This position is located at Fort Riley Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Headquarters. This position is eligible for the NAF benefits package and leave accrual. Knowledge of management principles, practices, and techniques to provide support services to the organization, analyze administrative/support practices, and recommend improvements to procedures and policies. Must have strong written and oral communication skills, including comprehensive knowledge of standard office software programs, such as word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc. Highly preferred criteria: Applicants meeting highly preferred criteria will be referred to management first.(All answers to the Highly Preferred Criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to receive credit).Highly preferred is defined as having met the following criteria: Minimum of two years' of demonstratable experience in creating or editing in Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Serves as the Operations Support Specialist to the FMWR Director and the FMWR senior leadership group.
Provides executive level advice and assistance on all matters that are relative to the coordination, integration, and synchronization of various staff actions, events, and activities that affect FMWR.
Exercises independent judgment and skill in carrying out support services by assisting the supervisor or chief with all matters related to planning, reports/briefings, special projects, significant acts, and rosters.
Responsible for preparing and reviewing correspondence; preparing briefings and charts; manages meetings and maintaining calendars for the FMWR Director.
Oversees, coordinates, and performs the service, supply and procurement functions for the office and maintains knowledge of internal resources to mitigate and/or report disruption of service/support.
