Bachelor¿s Degree from an accredited college, and two years of experience in related field or work area OR four years appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Must be familiar with MCCS policies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to analyze and develop recommendations for improvement in Services operations. Must have the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with others. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Serves as the primary Logistics Division interface to all MCCS operating divisions and base activities reference project development research, approvals and implementation. On all projects assigned, develops timelines, identifies interface requirements, tracks, monitors and provides weekly updates to the Logistics Director on project progress from concept to completion. Interface with Public Works, ES, Base Telephone on all projects requiring Logistics representation. Serves as the Logistics Division duty expert and researcher on policy issues, base orders, DoD and HQ policy decisions reference project approval requirements. Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, regulations, for potential impact on program objectives, operating policies, work operations and progress. Makes recommendations to support successful project completion to include resource allocation, integration opportunities, requirements, cost, schedule projections and risk analysis. Plans, coordinates, and manages resources relating to assigned projects from inception and project definition to implementation and post-implementation analysis. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other duties as assigned.
