THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, Position Description Number PDD2240P01 and is part of the WY 153rd Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Primary consideration will be made from Areas 2 and 4. If referrals are not made from either of the target categories, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible). Area 1: Indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (NG) Title 5 and T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current and prior military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-12: To qualify for the WG-12 level, applicants must possess a three-skill level in 2A9X4 with at least 12 months of work experience involving installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, calibrating, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes several major functions. WG-13: To qualify for the WG-13 level, applicants must possess a compatible Seven Skill Level in 2A9X4 and at least 12 months of specialized knowledge and skills to perform duties such as, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying software controlled automated and manually controlled test stations, electronic circuit maintenance pods, peripherals, support equipment and associated subsystems. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017)?dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2A9X4, Heavy Aircraft Integrated Avionics Enlisted 2A9X4 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "65" on the Electronics portion of the ASVAB. Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333232. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
The primary purpose of this position is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. (1) Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems. (2) Reviews and analyzes maintenance data; determines if criteria are sufficient to provide adequate test, troubleshooting and repair procedures; devises and recommends tests, procedural changes, or data corrections. (3) Troubleshoots operational malfunctions and analyzes system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, data analysis, common and system-specific test equipment and built in system tests. (4) Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates material deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data and assists in design changes as necessary.
