Job Description:

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the GUIDANCE TEST & DEVELOPMENT SECTION of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: engineer leading or conducting systems engineering design and development for guidance, navigation and control systems and identifying and developing the budget and contracting requirements necessary to execute guidance, navigation and control system systems engineering. You will exercise overall technical leadership and direction in pioneering design and development efforts in fielding Strategic Fleet Ballistic Missiles Guidance Systems including software and hardware for existing and future FBM systems.
You will provide the technical direction for activities of contractor teams in the formulation, design development and documentation of the software and hardware for FBM Guidance Systems.
You will apply theoretical knowledge and expertise to coordinate contractor teams to achieve an integrated solution to the missile guidance problems.
You will set the long-term flight test goals for the FBM guidance system.
You will coordinate System Engineering Activities including but not limited to Milestone Review Preparation, Coordination Documentation Review and Update, coordination with other Subsystems, and Safety processes and procedures.
You will coordinate Guidance Future Planning in support of the future of the Strategic Weapon System.
