About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Roadrunner Inn Kirtland AFB, NM. This position will be filled as a Regular Part Time employment category. Regular Part Time is guaranteed 20 hours/week and may be eligible for benefits such as Medical/Dental, Group Life, 401(k), and AFNAF Retirement. Schedule flexibility of selected individual(s) is highly desired, no set schedule for this position may include weekends, holidays and rotate often.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Ability to lead 3 or more custodial workers to accomplish housekeeping assignments. Must have functional experience and demonstrated knowledge of facility/equipment in housekeeping and the ability to build teams and work with others. Must have experience in the proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Must be able to clean and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment. Must be able to perform the full range of cleaning duties. Must be able to plan, coordinate, and time sequence steps needed to meet time constraints of work assignments. Experience and knowledge must have been gained either in a military lodging program or commercial hotel/motel. Must be able to follow oral or written instructions and speak English. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a working leader, performs the following duties: Distributes and balances workload among employees. Observes work in progress, production, adherence to quality and safety standards. Instructs and trains new employees. Elevates unresolved employee complaints or operational issues to supervisor. Provides input on performance, progress, and disciplinary problems. Reports all repair and maintenance requirements according to established policy. Reports all safety violations to immediate supervisor. Updates computer database with room status, occupancy, check-outs and reports on housekeeping area. Ensures adequate stock of cleaning materials and equipment required to do the work. Assists custodial worker in selecting and using cleaning agents safely and cost effectively and instructs them in planning sequence of work. Performs custodial worker duties as time permits or as assigned by supervisor. Cleans guest rooms, storerooms, corridors, stairways, facilities and other areas. Scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using heavy (industrial-type) powered scrubbers and buffers. Washes walls, using powered wall washing machine. Vacuum cleans rugs, using heavy (industrial-type) vacuum cleaners. Adjusts, cleans, and oils these machines, and changes brushes, rollers, buffers, and other attachments on them. Washes and replaces venetian blinds, and washes ceiling fixtures and room partitions, using ladders and scaffolds. Moves heavy furniture, supplies, and equipment. Collects soiled linen and replaces with clean linen. 3. Performs other related duties as assigned.
