Position is located at the Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Personnel Records Center, Rock Island, Illinois. Eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled telework" Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is local commuting area. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
NF-02 (Developmental) Possess six (6) months of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, which demonstrates the ability to accomplish various human resources tasks and utilize human resource information systems. The experience and ability listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess prior work experience in Human Resources NF-03 1. Possess six (6) months of work experience inputting data into a personnel data base. 2. Prior records management experience such as transmitting (filing, uploading, transfers) and maintenance of records. 3. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 4. Ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems. The experience and ability listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office and possess prior work experience using a Data Entry System to code, review and generate notifications of personnel actions (i.e. DA Form 3434, AF Form 2545, SF-50, etc.) Applicants that meet Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list
Processes a full range of recurring personnel actions that include a variety of appointments, separations, promotions, changes to lower grade, reassignments, transfers, or mass change actions, or any other actions.
Generates reports as necessary to perform quality control functions.
Uploads documents into electronic personnel folders (eOPF) to ensure employee records are complete and in chronological order.
Generates, submits and confirms receipt of payroll documents with NAF Financial Services through an automated tool or manually.
Responds to inquiries received from the HR Offices, NAF Financial Services and the NAF Employee Benefits Branch.
