Job Description:
You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Undersea & Combat Systems Depot Division of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a wide range of technical engineering principles to assemble, test, troubleshoot or repair complex electro-mechanical systems (e.g., torpedo or non-torpedo electro-mechanical undersea warfare systems and components). You will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex Electro-mechanical assemblies of torpedoes, performing fault isolation from the system level down to the component level.
You will develop technical procedures and processes for other technicians to follow, performing walkthroughs of procedures and processes to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
You will perform quality assurance procedures to include in process inspection, self-assessments, internal audits and group level review, providing quality assurance training to junior level technicians.
You will provide instruction, oversight, guidance and direction in performance of torpedo production requirements internal or external to station mission.
You will conduct phases of technical work as part of a major project or a complete project of considerable scope and complexity.
