This position is located in the Government and Finance Division (G&F), Congressional Research Service (CRS).

The Administrative Coordinator will serve as a central resource for implementing and maintaining administrative procedures and processes to support the day-to-day operational needs of the office and in support of the office’s management and staff. Candidates with demonstrated experience working with automated systems for the purpose of maintaining and tracking confidential information are encouraged to apply. The incumbent functions as the lead office coordinator in maintaining and monitoring human resource and administrative requirements, such as performance assessment tracking, certain time and attendance records, internal website content maintenance on SharePoint, and/or customer request information (e.g., GovTA, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, virtual conferencing tools) and serves as the office’s primary point of contact for coordinating confidential tasks on behalf of G&F. The incumbent integrates several types of software to generate specific working documents, transmits a variety of requests to managers, and edits as necessary, finished administrative documents for responsiveness and completeness. Acts as a central resource person for implementing and maintaining administrative procedures and processes, such as an office-wide calendar of work schedules, meetings, and other relevant work activities and events as well as coordinating and tracking administrative deadlines and milestones and assisting with scheduling. Coordinates and tracks the office’s administrative requests and maintains a central digital repository to file and maintain request records. Also coordinates the office’s processing of information on SharePoint or similar applications and maintains office and administrative controls in the maintenance of confidential records. Initiates development of new or revised administrative policies and procedures necessary for efficient administrative functioning of the office, working with the supervisor. Drafts, proofs, and edits, as necessary, administrative documents for responsiveness and completeness. Checks accuracy of all references and citations and reviews attachments for relevance and completeness. Integrates several types of software, such as spreadsheet, database, word processing, and graphics, to generate specific administrative working documents and forms. CRS works exclusively for the United States Congress, providing policy and legal analysis to committees and Members of both the House and Senate, regardless of party affiliation.
