About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Department. Position is Flexible, meaning no minimum guaranteed hours or standard benefits (work between 0-40 hours a week depending on facility needs) Minimum age 18 due to Drug Demand Program assignment (initial and random drug screen) Assigned irregular tour of duty includes occasional weekend, evenings, and Holidays

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have basic marketing experience. Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using publishing software, word processing and other software. Must also have experiences in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe. This experience may have been gained in a DoD, commercial marketing or advertising agency. Experience must demonstrate composure of written material and conduct verbal/oral presentations; develop advertising copy. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public and be comfortable with public speaking. Must have good oral and interpersonal skills.
Under the direction of the Marketing, Deputy and or Services Director, develops and implements marketing advertising campaigns for Services (SV). Uses design and publishing software to design and develop publicity and marketing material such as fliers, posters, brochures, and other printed and digital materials. Maintains current information on all advertising media platforms (e.g. posters, monitors, website, Facebook, mobile app, etc.) about activity events, hours of operation, promotions, and other related information. Creates and sends email blasts to targeted base groups. Maintains working knowledge of SV activities and target audiences. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs, and offers from activity managers. Maintains a current knowledge of information and applications applicable to core duties in design, computer operations and equipment capabilities and standards. Must ensure a high quality of product and have high ability to pay attention to details. Track articles and advertisements submitted and printed. Attend meetings and record meeting minutes. Maintains photographic, historical reference and publicity continuity files. Work special events as needed, sometimes working on weekends or evenings, to provide marketing assistance such as photos and videos. Administers surveys/assists in focus groups, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists in analyzing results. Drives a government vehicle. Must be able to lift, carry, move items weighing up to 40 pounds. Performs other related duties as assigned.
