Job Description:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer providing technical oversight and direction to manage in the design, development, and implementation of aerospace programs or reentry system programs in order to devise effective solutions that solve program constraints. You will provide special technical expertise and leadership in complex coordination and management of all contractor engineering and product assurance efforts.
You will lead development efforts related to the Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) and missile, propulsion, controls and ordnance systems issues.
You may be required to coordinate shipping, transfer or redirecting of government owned property to other facilities or contracts to meet program needs and requirements.
You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various subsystems.
You will monitor and approve efforts dealing with acceptability, utilization and sustainment of hardware, support equipment, and software including design and process changes. This includes the assessment and evaluation of aging effects.
You will assure that configuration control of weapons systems is in compliance with the approved Configuration Management processes.
You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.
You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), laboratories, and consultants.
You will uphold technical rigor as relates to flight science disciplines, modern development approaches, and production disciplines, to include, but not limited to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
