You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER in the Navy Installations Command of NAVSTA NEWPORT SECURITY DETACHMENT.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing and making immediate decisions in the provisions of law enforcement (LE), antiterrorism (AT), and Force Protection (FP); 2) Performing a full range of duties and responsibilities in preventing terrorist activities, resolving offenses, conducting preliminary and ongoing investigations of incidents; 3) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations; and 4) Implementing FPCON measures and RAM in the response to command direction and terrorist threats. You will identify law enforcement employee development needs to verify performance goals are met.
You will conduct on-site inspections of law enforcement patrols to verify procedures are followed.
You will develop long-range security goals, plans, and objectives for a law enforcement organization.
You will arrest violators caught committing a criminal act.
You will monitor radio channels to ensure they are clear for transmission of emergency matters.
You will identify law enforcement areas that need improvement to provide recommendations.
You will provide technical guidance; identify training needs; interview and select candidates for vacancies; recommend promotions; approve leave; recommend awards and resolve disciplinary issues.
