These positions are located in Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, in the Administrative Division. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is April - October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: June 2025.

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position. - AND - To qualify for this position at the GS-0306-05 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-0306-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: The applicant is able to complete requisitions for the purchase of supplies, services and equipment. Applicants must possess a foundational understanding of procurement methods and skills in tracking purchase requests to ensure timely receipt of materials. Proficiency in operating computers, typewriters, and other office equipment is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, various database systems, and other related programs is required. Additionally, candidates should be adept at maintaining office and unit files and following guidelines to complete time and attendance documents. Responsibilities also include preparing and reviewing employee travel documents and orders. Other administrative support tasks may be assigned, requiring flexibility in performing staff support work across various areas. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least completed 4 years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university. You must include transcripts. You will be required to submit your Official transcripts prior to EOD. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. NOTE: Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirements. Two full academic years of study, or 60 semester hours, beyond the second year is equivalent to 1 year of specialized experience. You must include transcripts. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
