You will serve as a NON DESTRUCTIVE TEST INSPECTOR LEADER in the NON DESTRUCTIVE TEST DIVISION of PSNS and IMF. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

You will complete and maintain detailed test records that are subject to audit.
You will conduct radiographic operations and serve as Radiographer-in-Charge (RIC) for nuclear and non-nuclear radiographic inspections.
You will perform calibration and safety checks of test equipment prior to and after performance of Non-Destructive Test Inspections.
You will participate in audits, submit reports and recommendations and maintain files, charts and status reports on progress inspections/documents completed.
You will arrange for corrections of deficiencies and re-inspection of repaired items and recommend remedies for particular problems.
You will assure effective use of the inspection crews by relaying to other inspectors the instructions received from supervisors and initiating the work to be performed.
