Job Description:

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST AND EVALUATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical electronics expertise and guidance to lead engineering projects, provide engineering support, and resolve technical issues associated with the testing and evaluation of naval shipboard weapons systems. You will serve as the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Flight Test Tactical Data Link Interoperability Lead Joint Interface Control Officer.
You will provide technical expertise in Tactical Data Link systems, architectures, and networks in the Combat Systems Tactical Data Link (TDL) Engineering branch (C53).
You will be responsible for planning, organizing and provide technical leadership and project management to the BMD program and station for TDL Interoperability.
You will coordinate and manage technical requirements between the TDL and Aegis interfaces and quickly resolve issues on both coasts which threaten Test and Evaluation schedules.
You will plan and execute the required testing at sea and in land-based test environments.
You will ensure all related products meet the customer's and sponsors' requirements and are delivered on time, of good quality, and within budget.
