Job Description:
This SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN position, is located in the Aviation Materiel Management section of an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) and is part of the CA AASF Los Alamitos.
General Experience: Possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions; experience using computer and automation systems. SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-8: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level experience in: knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; conducting searches for required information; reconstructing records for supply transactions; providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures; conveying information and compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Forecasting and Demand Planning Inventory Management Leadership Manages and Organizes Information
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-8, is to plan, organize, review, evaluate, and supervise the various work processes of the section. The position also provides supply support for aviation maintenance. The position serves as the property book custodian. Manages materiel, resource tracking (Depot Level Repair (DLR)/Class 9 (CLIX), special Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)/tool transactions and performs administrative oversight of hazardous material accountability. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
