For the NH-2: In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the basic education requirement for this position outlined in the education section of this announcement (see below Education section). For the NH-3: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing systems engineering project management and working acquisition lifecycle engineering projects. You will serve as the engineering project manager and lead for project refreshes, responsible for leading and integrating a multi-discipline, multi-organization, team through the systems engineering process.
You will coordinate, liaise, and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders in order to ensure efficient, and effective capability delivery to the war-fighter.
You will predict the total ownership costs and life cycle supportability of proposed system upgrades.
You will develop responses to budget issues for supervisor, including budget discussions or decrements for each fiscal year.
You will independently review and provide concurrence or comments against policy and technical documents, such as system, subsystem, and component design specifications/documentation, program plans, coordination drawings and schedules.
You will receive contract proposals for technical review and takes action to resolve issues or provides recommend actions on the proposal.
