1-year non-reimbursable assignment DHS Headquarters/Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer Benefits Specialist Series Requested: 0201 Security Clearance: Secret In-Person Only Only current, full-time federal employees are eligible. Qualifications required: Knowledge of policies and procedures under tile 5 of the CFR. Experience administering employee benefits programs providing advisory, counseling and or processing services in the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), Federal Employees' Retirement System (FERS), the Federal Employees' Health Program (FEHB), the Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance Program (FEGLI), the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP), Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Workman's Compensation. Support DHS Headquarters' Human Resources Management Services (HRMS) division with administrative tasks and/or processing within the retirement and benefits unit. Administrative tasks includes, records management, updating/monitoring various tracking systems, reporting, and responding to general customer inquiries. Processing includes FEHB, FEGLI Benefits enrollments, military service deposits and retirement applications.
