Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the N6, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT of NVRECRUITNGCMD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a system analysis and design technical authority to execute Information technology (IT) projects from initiation to sustainment; 2) Developing strategy and plans for utilization, tracking and management of information resources (such as personnel, equipment, funds, and Information Technology) to enable organizational and enterprise missions; 3) Implementing and monitoring plans, policies, and programs to enhance the value of IT data and information assets; 4) Conducting periodic performance assessments to ensure that IT activities, processes, or components are achieving desired results; and 5) Planning, distributing and reviewing work assignments of IT staff to provide feedback on their performance. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. You will review work methods and procedures for opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness and have responsibility for finding ways to eliminate bottlenecks/barriers to production.
You will coordinate and integrate contractors work schedules and track progress and quality of contractor performance.
You will provide high-level technical expertise to accomplish analysis of options and development of the design for advanced systems software and complex IT programming specifications.
You will design the physical structure of required databases considering factors such as access methods, frequency of access, storage media and data volatility search strategies to be employed.
You will ensure system IT documentation includes information such as functional descriptions, maintenance manuals, test and implementation plans, cost analysis, specification documents and/or database feasibility studies.
You will analyze IT project synopsis, which compares alternatives in terms of cost, time, necessary equipment and staff.
