This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Responding to fire alarms, structure fires, vehicle fires, hazardous materials incidents and other technical rescue events as a certified member of a firefighting crew. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: Fire Protection and Prevention Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will respond to fire alarms, structure fires, vehicle fires, hazardous materials incidents, confined space rescue emergencies, high angle rescue emergencies, water rescue emergencies, and other emergencies.
You will perform daily preventative maintenance inspections of vehicles and equipment including but not limited to draining and flushing pumps, raising ladders, replacing or refilling fuel on small engines.
You will perform electro cardiology procedures including taking and interpreting electrocardiograms, performing manual defibrillation, and providing transcutaneous external pacing.
You will perform advanced and invasive airway procedures that may include needle/surgical cricothyrotomy, pleural decompression, endotracheal/nasal intubation, continuous positive airway pressure, or automatic transport ventilator devices.
You will calculate patient medication doses.
