Job Description:
The primary purpose of the position is to assist in the maintenance, repair, and stabilization of structures and sites built of stone and mortar. The major duties of the Mason Helper include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and construction of exterior and interior surfaces and structures of brick, stone and block. Assists with repairs and maintains historic masonry on buildings, walls, plazas, etc. Performs a variety of simple and routine brickwork Assists with removing damaged portions of walls or other similar architectural features in preparation for repair of damage and stabilization of original fabric.
