Job Description:
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the FMS Sustainment Department of NAVAL AIR SYSTEM COMMAND HQ-OSF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band (nh-02) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Participating in the development and design of new systems by assessing the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems and technology applications. 2.) Performing cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems. 3.) Reviewing and approving any changes to logistics and maintenance plans. 4.) Directing and holding logistics meetings/ conferences with authority to make and approve/disapprove decision, recommendations and make final decision on logistic support policy. You will perform cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems.
You will develop and approve logistic/maintenance requirements analyses, and complete documentation requirements based on input from logistic element managers.
You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems and technology applications.
You will direct the performance of logistics and maintenance analyses by the contractor by examining, evaluating, developing, and comparing economic, equipment performance, and safety factors as a basis for the foundation of the programs.
You will chair logistics meetings/conferences with authority to make and approve/disapprove decision, recommendations and make final decision on logistic support policy.
You will determine cause for problems and either develop programs or give direction to resolve logistics deficiency or recommend design changes when problems do not result from support deficiencies or when technology is insufficient.
