Serves as an Assistant Business Manager in the Beverage Department of the Hale Koa Hotel. 2025 Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for Honolulu, HI is 8.64%. This position will remain open until filled with a first cutoff date of 20 June 2025 for employment consideration. Additional lists will be pulled at the request of the hiring manager. Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered.
Minimum Qualifications: - Possess a minimum of three (3) years of managerial/supervisory experience (served within the last six years) in a high volume restaurant operation. - Possess an extensive background in restaurant table service, beverage service & managing events. - Have demonstrated experience in managing cost controls in order to meet budget requirements. - Have experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity in a unionized environment. - Have a strong background in leadership, communication and organization. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Assists in managing a high volume beverage program as part of a large full service food and beverage operation. Candidates must be customer service-oriented, experienced, and organized. In this position, you will play a key role in handling the day-to-day operations of the bar and staff. You will supervise, train, and schedule employees. You will ensure all health and safety procedures are met, and contribute to the overall success of the business. Assists in identifying problems and initiating appropriate corrective measures to insure efficiency within the business activity. Evaluates the success of programs in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and mission accomplishment. Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, develops activity financial plan. Monitors the procurement of all supplies and equipment for the activity. Recommend and enforces operating procedures. Represents the activity to the public.
