This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS=-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing fire suppression and prevention, emergency medical treatment and ambulance transport services, emergency communications, and public education and training services. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will respond to emergencies as a member of an Engine Company, Truck Company, Rescue Company, Hazardous Materials Team and/or a Rescue Team.
You will participate in daily training and instruction classes covering all phases of fire protection, fire prevention and emergency medical services.
You will act as the driver/operator of an emergency response pumper/ladder, brush fire fighting, ambulance, hazardous material response, or other rescue vehicle as required.
You will respond all hazardous materials incidents as required.
You will perform daily preventative maintenance inspections of firefighting transport vehicles, tools, and medical equipment.
You will respond to all medical emergencies and provides advanced patient assessment and treatment for victims of fire, sudden illness, accident injuries, childbirth, and other events requiring medical intervention.
