About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop, Beale AFB, CA. You will be scheduled to work anywhere from 0-40 hours per week; hours are not guaranteed. This position does not receive benefits. Frequent bending, reaching, and working in awkward positions when performing work in lube pits or from car racks. Occasional heavy lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience servicing vehicles (i.e. lubricate, oil, and filter change). Must be able to read and understand manual specifications and possess the ability to verbally communicate with patrons.
Drains and changes lubricants in crank cases, differentials and transmissions, lubricates vehicles and replaces oil and filters. Replaces accessories such as rear view mirrors, rotates, replaces and/or repairs tube and tubeless tires with plugger or hot or cold patch. Services brakes (pads and rotors), checks components such as spark plugs, wires, rotors, fan belts, tail pipes, mufflers, hoses and similar items, adjusting or repairing when necessary. Uses hand tools as necessary, and uses a limited variety of test equipment. Maintains records and inventory.
