Job Description:
You will serve as a MANAGER in the Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department (JX), Specialized Munitions Division (JXR), Sustainment Branch (JXRP) or Strategic Munitions Branch (JXRL) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $161,889).
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist leading and providing technical or administrative management direction to develop and modify execution plans for a project or program to ensure quality, accuracy, and adequacy of products and services. You will be responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and the development/implementation of the Branch's policies/procedures in support of the Strategic Systems Program Office, USMC PdM AMMO, and PEO Integrated Weapons Systems.
You will develop and maintains long/short-term planning for funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.
You will develop schedules/milestones that support current and future infrastructure and plans for growth.
You will design and implement programs that support mission requirements and formulates goals, plans and methods of evaluation.
You will anticipate and analyze risks to resources, products, programs and processes and implements effective control measures.
You will design and implement programs that support Branch mission requirements and formulate goals, plans and methods of evaluations.
You will define evaluation criteria and continuously assesses progress for employees toward the goals for the above project and other existing or new projects.
You will analyze, research and prepare technical reports and publications, attend meetings and conferences and exchange information with other engineers and managers.
You will monitor contract work performance through correspondence and personal contacts, interfacing with internal and external customers.
