Job Description:
This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at the Angelo Inn on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Regular Part-Time (RPT). You are guaranteed 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. As a RPT employee, you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in the operational management of a civilian or military lodging program. This experience must have included supervisory responsibility, ( i.e., team leader or higher of at least one functional area such as housekeeping, Guest Services, etc.) sufficient to demonstrate skill and knowledge in such areas as team building, customer service, staff scheduling, financial management, and human resources. Must have the ability to train or have experience which shows potential to train others. A baccalaureate degree in hospitality or business desired. Must be able to read, speak, and write English. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 background investigation.
Under direction of management develops schedule to ensure the Quality Assurance Evaluation Program is conducted in accordance with Air Force (AF) Standards. Inspects lodging rooms, buildings, grounds, parking lots, and other area such as offices, day rooms, hallways and storage areas for quality and quantity of work performed by all employees. Evaluates and updates all general room instructions to include: guest directories, fire evacuation procedures, equipment instructions, sundry price listing, and informational signage. Corrects publications as required. Responsible for monitoring the Lodging Educational Institute training program in accordance with Air Force Lodging standards. Oversees and manages the in-house training program. Coordinates with Lodging Manager and the Assistant Manager to establish budgets for staff development, incentives, and recognition items.
