Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEER in the Electronic Support Engineering Section (WXMSL), Electronic Support Systems Engineering Branch (WXMS), Maritime Electronic Warfare System Division (WXM), Spectrum Warfare Department (WX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-12/13.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-9/11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: as a professional engineer, leading engineering analysis on electronic systems to identify and resolve problems with design, production, or resource development for improved sustainment of electronic support systems. You will develop solutions to technical and supply chain challenges discovered during design, initial fielding, production, and sustainment by utilizing system performance measures and other data sources.
You will recommend and implement system improvements via the system engineering process and lead engineering change efforts.
You will be responsible for providing technical information required for delivery of installation required drawings.
You will exercise full technical and administrative authority over the operations and personnel of this section.
You will address critical gaps and develop comprehensive solutions for OJT tracking, risk management, and metric tracking.
You will oversee critical engineering efforts such as engineering investigations, engineering change proposals, system improvements, and test and evaluation processes.
You will provide aid and oversite of engineers participating in the NSWC Crane Career Competency Development Program (CCDP).
