Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER Support Equipment Technical Director in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Support Equipment and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Group, Support Equipment Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-04 (equivalent to the GS-13/14 level) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing execution of technical projects to ensure compliance with customers & fleet requirements, engineering standards, critical safety/quality requirements/policies, cost and schedule. 2) Providing personnel resources and processes to execute the acquisition and life cycle program management, engineering and logistics support for Common Support Equipment (CSE) and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE). 3) Serving as a leader in the system simulation, requirement, and performance specification assessment of technical risk, and analysis of test and evaluation results. 4) Utilizing extensive knowledge to ensure SE programs comply with applicable DoD and Navy policies and guidelines for SE including, but not limited to, the Guidebook for Acquisition of Naval Software Intensive Systems, Standard Information Technology Software Lifecycle Processes, Capability Matrix Model Integrated (CMMI), Systems Engineering Technical Review Process (NAVAIRINST 4355.19). 5) Possessing professional competence in several disciplines (i.e., management, logistics, cyber security, mechanical, electronic, electrical, software, systems, and/or computer engineering) sufficient to provide overall management and technical direction of the assigned workforce, processes, products, and facilities. You will assess technical projects (e.g., system requirements, resources, cost, customer needs) to develop a complex project plan.
You will participate in electrical or mechanical engineering investigations and make recommendations to solve failures or accidents in control components of electrical and mechanical utilities.
You will collect technical, programmatic, and other historical data that is used to illustrate the evolution and change within a system.
You will lead multidiscipline engineers on executing process improvement initiatives.
You will identify developmental and training needs of employees by arranging for needed development or training.
