You will serve as a NAVAL ARCHITECT in the Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF. SALARY RANGE: GS-11: $83,104 - $108,029 GS-12: $99,606 - $129,494
In addition to the basic education requirements, applicants must meet one year of specialized experience as follows: For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience, as a professional naval architect or engineer, at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector interpreting and evaluating engineering data and work documents to develop engineered solutions to technical problems related to the modernization of naval vessels. For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience, as a professional naval architect or engineer, at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing engineering data or work documents to provide technical guidance for the resolution of engineering problems related to the modernization of naval vessels. You will be responsible to develop, check and issue Ship Installation Drawings for modernization on US Navy ships.
You will develop and check engineering calculations for ship structures.
You will perform shipchecks onboard US Navy ships.
You will ensure timely, technically accurate execution of complex design projects, documents or drawing development, or planning projects.
