Job Description:

You will serve as a GENERAL BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST in the Planning Yard Division, Project Office Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight for the design and construction of ships built at contactor facilities (e.g., Coordinating, monitoring, and expediting the production efforts of the SUPSHIP office and supporting NAVSEA activities throughout the ship construction period) to assure timely ship delivery. You will perform project management and contract administration of Planning Yard functions for Combatant Ships that are assigned to SUPSHIP.
You will maintain status of all tasks and constantly assesses the contractor's progress and ability to meet scheduled milestones, including progress of all design documentation and other tasks in support of availability planning events.
You will act as a funds administrator for all customer funds with the assistance of the Contract Administration Process and Comptroller Teams.
You will act as single point of contact to represent and speak for SUPSHIP Bath on Planning Yard matters.
You will maintain an effective interface with all other SUPSHIP processes and other organizations in the execution of these duties.
You will act as point of contact for tasking, funding, and ROMs.
You will monitor Liaison Action Requests (LAR) to insure prompt and complete resolution of all items assigned to the Planning Yard or affecting Planning Yard products.
You will identify funding shortfalls to appropriate authority.
You will recommend reprogramming of resources to resolve funding issues.
