Job Description:
You will serve as a Career Services Center Supervisor in the Personal & Professional Development Program of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Executing all phases of installation's Transition Readiness (TR) program to ensure quality assurance for retiring and displaced personnel to support successful transition in to alternative career paths. You will serve as point of contact for transition and employment matters establishing the program goals, objectives, and internal operating policies and procedures.
You will serve as the Career Services Center (CSC) office advisor, providing employment and transition assistance for unique or difficult cases.
You will work closely with Transition and Family Member Employment Program (FMEAP) Specialist to ensure quality employment services are being delivered to customers and employers.
You will design and oversee marketing, promotional, and social media efforts to promote an effective outreach initiative.
You will be responsible for reviewing and implementing new/proposed legislation and regulations that impact program operations and management.
You will be responsible for oversight of job fairs and hiring events at local, state, and national level for clients on a regular basis.
You will be responsible for establishing and managing annual budget to include planning, forecasting, obligating and executing expenditures for facilities, equipment, supplies, contract services, and personnel resources.
