Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Department of Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic of SWFLANT KINGS BAY. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing security programs to include: personnel, physical, information, operations, nuclear weapons security and sensitive compartmented information and performing key decision making and policy- developing responsibilities to recommend methods for enhancing the efficiency of security systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). You will analyze, evaluate, advise on, develop, and improve the effectiveness of work methods, procedures, manpower/staffing, resources, management controls, organization structure, and information and documentation systems.
You will provide direct security support, technical and administrative to the SWFLANT Security Director and Commanding Officer.
You will provide long-range focus, planning, development, and leadership to the department.
You will assist in all management phases including formulating, presenting, and executing decisions and recommendations which have a substantive impact on department and command objectives.
You will direct and oversee work performance of employees responsible for exercises, training and assessment, plans, policies, standard operating procedures and budget analysis.
