Minimum of three years of experience in auditing. Experience with cash handling and safety inspections is preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess program effectiveness, track progress, and make data-driven decisions. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines while ensuring quality and efficiency. Proven ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with experience collaborating with all levels of employees, management, and customers. Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft 365; Experience in project management software is preferred. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting of items up to 20 lbs. may be required. This is a covered position for the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act for Department of the Navy civilian personnel. Due to contact with firearms or ammunition in accomplishing work, DD Form 2760 certifying whether or not a qualifying conviction for a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence has occurred MUST be completed. The continuing obligation to notify the immediate supervisor of any qualifying conviction through completion of DD Form 2760 is REQUIRED. Ability to successfully obtain/maintain a Tier 3 background investigation.
Serves as an analyst and program coordinator within the Compliance and Risk Management (CRM) Division, providing support to all MCCS Divisions. This position strengthens operational continuity, reinforces compliance oversight, and supports strategic initiatives without diverting specialized staff from their core functions. Conducts internal audits and inspections, including fund verifications, and compliance reviews involving PII, safety, environmental, physical security standards, weapons inventory, and Level 1 CCTV system troubleshooting. Reports findings to appropriate personnel, escalating risk indicators or program deficiencies for corrective action. Aids with certification checks and ensures adherence to safety and physical security standards. Assists with projects and provides advisory services on issues related to programs. Manages the local MCCS Composite Insurance program by reporting incidents and liaising with private insurance agencies and MR Headquarters. Ensures open communication with legal counsel and division leadership regarding unresolved claims or regulatory issues. Provides administrative oversight of Non-Federal Entities (NFEs), private organizations (POs), and Command units seeking to fundraise or use base facilities. Coordinates subject requests with legal counsel as needed. Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, and regulations for potential impact on program objectives, operating policies, work operations, and progress. Provides Customer Service to both internal and external customers. Assists customers and communicates positively and in a friendly manner. Asks questions to determine, verify, and solve problems expeditiously. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or the proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Provides leadership with regular updates. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, as well as any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor utilizing established MCCS procedures. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other duties as assigned.
