Key Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and provide expert-level support for Public Safety software applications, such as Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), Jail Management Systems (JMS), and other specialized public safety tools.
Collaborate closely with police officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and other public safety personnel to gather requirements, optimize workflows, and ensure applications meet operational needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to public safety applications, including integration problems, data integrity issues, and system performance.
Manage user accounts, security roles, and permissions within public safety systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Lead or participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new modules or applications.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and training materials specific to public safety workflows.
Provide training and ongoing support to public safety personnel on the effective use of applications.
Liaise with vendors (e.g., Motorola, CentralSquare, Hexagon) for complex technical issues, software enhancements, and new feature requests.
90% Remote and up to 10% possible onsite in Dallas area
On-call rotations will be likely during evenings and weekend.
