This National Guard position is for a POWERED SUPPORT EQUIPMENT REPAIRER, Position Description Number NGD0473000 and is part of AASF. This is a Title 32, Dual-Status position. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: - Members of the South Dakota Army National Guard
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Enlisted up to E8/MSG may apply. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full-time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of mechanical maintenance work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics, and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing and repairing equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience or training must demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory and the makeup and operation of the various individual systems and their interrelationships. Experience using a small variety of test and measurement devices. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components and accessories. Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. As a POWERED SUPPORT EQUIPMENT REPAIRER, WG-5378-8, you will: This position performs various duties as a Powered Support Equipment Repairer at an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Army Aviation Flight Activity, (AAFA) or Aviation Classification and Repair Activity Depot (ACRAD). Duties involve the performance of mechanical repairs and maintenance on powered qround and other support equipment used in aircraft servicing and repair. Additionally, the position is responsible for a variety of duties involving the qround refueling of fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Perform preventive maintenance and repair of associated mobile and fixed fuel distribution system.
