Job Description:

You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (PLCYPLN) for Unified Capabilities in the Communications and Information Directorate for the US Pacific Fleet MARITIME OPERATIONS CENTER Annex. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing IT program management, including assessing current program and recommending improvements to ensure operational readiness. You will provide substantive contributions to long-range planning for collaboration program implementation in support of command operations and components.
You will lead and facilitate face-to-face and virtual discussion groups to actively solicit inputs from command staff and subordinate command representatives.
You will review, analyze, and make recommendation for the implementation plans for Navy IT enterprise development related to collaboration technologies to include Video Teleconferencing, Chat, Screen sharing, voice, voice mail and white-boarding.
You will develop methods, approaches, policies, and procedures related to Navy Enterprise IT process improvement and IT efficiency initiatives.
You will establish criteria; formulate projects; assess program effectiveness and investigate a variety of unusual conditions, problems, and issues relating to IT.
You will research trends and patterns; develop new methods and criteria and propose new policies and practices to ensure compliance with IT and IRM policy at all levels of implementation of IT systems.
