Job Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management and Fleet Comptroller, Fiscal Policy/FMH of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading or developing financial management analysis functions (e.g. creating financial management plans, directing financial program reviews, or developing high level budget summaries) for an organization. You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will develop format and content to provide managers with various listings, reports, and data related to status of funds and the propriety of obligations.
You will ensure financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.
You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.
You will promulgate approved financial management policies within the organization based on DON policy and develop and issue implementing procedures.
You will plan work, set priorities and schedules work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work.
You will assign work to subordinates based on employees’ capabilities, priorities and difficulty; develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance; provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.

You will understand principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and financing also sufficiently analyze national level programs; exceptionally large and complete programs; develop, recommend and implement budgetary/financial policies.
