Job Description:

This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANAGER, Position Description Number D2413000 and is part of the 177th MAINTENANCE SQUADRON, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a second-level supervisor and technical authority over two or more Air National Guard (ANG) surface maintenance facilities
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have the following experience(s): Knowledge of equipment maintenance work, or skill in reading engineering drawings Using specifications and test instruments Making computations, and keeping records Using computer and automation systems SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months of the following experience(s): Applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment, facilities, or service operations Designing projects or planning assignments Using well-established occupational methods and techniques to determine facility, grounds, equipment overhaul, maintenance, restoration, repair needs, etc.
As a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANAGER, GS-1601-12, you will: Analyze and resolve a variety of conventional maintenance management problems to improve existing maintenance operations, production, and practices that impact the overall maintenance program. Establish methods and procedures to ensure maintenance tasks performed meet or exceed established policies and regulations Establish and monitor the shop safety and health program Monitor the organization's use of automation to properly account for manpower utilization and materials management
