Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a wide range of logistics management principles, theories, and processes to a variety of studies, investigations, and assignments and performing duties that include the following: 1) coordinating logistics projects and tasks across multiple entities; 2) Conducting broad, multi-faceted studies associated with logistics systems development; 3) Performing program and/or project management of a logistics system, and assessing performance, logistics readiness, contractor support, and staff execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes; 4) Advising on matters relating to Automated Information Technology and active Radio Frequency Identification (aRFID) matters, as well as certification and accreditation of joint Transportation and Distribution systems; 5) Providing leadership or technical guidance on logistics management support process and procedures; 6) Identifying process deficiencies utilizing reports and knowledge of government regulations and commercial best practices, and developing solutions. You will act as the Fleet Movement System Support department head that supervise civil servants and contractors on daily operations.
You will create unique transportation and distribution solutions that enhance Fleet readiness, meet customer required delivery dates, and provide opportunities to create transportation cost avoidances.
You will expand on the current return on investment by applying CPI, investing intellectual capital, exploring and adopting current trends in the United States and foreign governments, military, and private / public sectors.
You will analyze all aspects of the Department’s operations with the goal of improving customer support and enhancing its overall efficiency.
