Job Description:

You will serve as an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Coordinating with other Service/Agency stakeholders to understand strategies and planning efforts for IT networks and systems under their cognizance. 2. Operating independently, managing the full range of technology strategy, policy and planning functions through the combined technical and administrative direction. 3. Providing analysis to a broad range of information technology efforts under review and development Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. You will serve as the IT Technical Director for the Department of Navy (DON) Special Access Program (SAP) Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO); and report to the DON SAP CIO and Deputy CIO.
You will be responsible for the development and execution of a DON SAP enterprise data architecture and knowledge management plan.
You will improve capability and performance to align enterprise services and ensure cybersecurity of the DON SAP IT systems.
You will maintain expertise on all matters related to DON SAP enterprise-wide IT requirements and be responsible for the technology development of implementing strategies, policies, and plans.
You will provide detailed strategy, policy and planning guidance, assistance and support to both government and private industry participants of major acquisition efforts.
