Job Description:
You will serve as a HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSER LEADER in the FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT, SHOP 099 of PSNS and IMF.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. You will be responsible for overall team leadership on the project and encourage team members to reduce costs, identify improvements, and increase their skills and knowledge.
You will attend, arrange, and chair meetings with managers, planners and estimators, contractors, technical personnel, and work groups to coordinate project support and completion.
You will be responsible for site setup and maintenance, documents, materials, equipment, and site safety.
You will assign tasks, demonstrate proper work methods, provide guidance, and check work to ensure quality, costs, and time frame requirements are met.
You will have a thorough knowledge of proper hazardous material and waste handling procedures including delivery, inspection, collection, treatment, packaging, transportation and storage of hazardous material and waste.
