THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1948000 and is part of the HI 154 LRS, National Guard. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: If your resume does not include a narrative description of how you meet the GENERAL, SPECIALIZED experiences, and OTHER requirements, you may lose consideration for this position. Ensure that the Questionnaire is completed on Application Manager. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY POSITION: Prior to placement in this position, the selected applicant must be assigned to an appropriate military position and must meet the definition of a dual status technician in accordance with 32 U S C 709. NOTES TO CANDIDATES: a. Situations of inversion of military rank are not permitted, i.e., a military technician may not be militarily senior to his or her full-time supervisor. b. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses may be granted only after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Hawaii National Guard. c. SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary purpose is to serve as a first level supervisor for the Flight Service Center Element, providing planning, directing, organizing and exercising control over non-supervisory employees assigned to the Maintenance Support Section. The base level of work supervised is GS-07. Plans and organizes the work performed in the sections to provide optimum service, efficiency, and productivity. Interprets, plans, establishes, and prioritizes work requirements for affected elements and personnel. Manages the Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP) for the Maintenance Support Section. Prepares replies for Internal Surveillance program and ensures self-inspection program is conducted for sections. Performs other duties as assigned.
