About the Position: This position is with the Department Of Defense Education Activity; Headquarters; Office of the Director office of the General Counsel; DoDEA Administrative Support Branch in Alexandria, Virginia. Alexandria, Virginia, is a city on the Potomac River, just south of Washington, DC. This position is not covered by a bargaining unit.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes which includes providing assistance with budget operations; utilizing information systems information systems to gather data; and advising employees on work and administrative matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Public Administration or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Financial Management Planning and Evaluating Research
Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Office of General Counsel, including managing daily operations, coordinating logistics, and supporting special projects.
Tracks and monitors the office budget, prepares financial reports and projections, and analyses, and serves as the Government Purchase Cardholder for procurement of supplies and services.
Serves as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for designated contracts, ensuring vendor compliance and coordination with contracting offices.
Oversees records and correspondence management, ensuring legal and administrative files are maintained in compliance with federal and agency requirements.
Prepares reports, presentations, and briefing materials; conducts research and gathers data to support operational planning and process improvement efforts.
Develop long and/or short-term administrative programs to manage manpower requirements.
Administer staff reports for administration through an automated system.
