Job Description:
Purpose: Incumbent provides support to the Deputy Associate Director for Patient Care Service/Nursing Services (DAD for PCS/NS), in a variety of areas related to office management, business process coordination, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Performs duties directly contributing to the administrative management of an integrated health care delivery system that require the ability to apply the specialized principles and practices of health care management.
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/16/2025. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. Serves as a staff member directly supporting executive leadership responsible for planning, organization, development, direction, and evaluation of healthcare system operations. Implements long- and short-term plans, policies, and procedures, assuring that programs are integrated in order to support operational efficiencies and strategic priorities. Requires to complete qualitative and quantitative studies including financial reports and cost effectiveness analyses. Assign projects/initiatives and analyzes a wide variety of health care system management issues. Develops reports, business plans and presentations for the healthcare system. Manages and/or prepares responses to organization correspondence and/or acts as a liaison or handles communication with persons and/or groups within and outside of the organization. Provides program direction to services, which includes continuing review and evaluation of operations, policies, and procedures to achieve efficiency, balance, and coordination among the facility programs and services. Assists with designing work processes and systems that are responsive to customer needs and uses customer feedback to plan and improve services.
