Job Description:

You will serve as a Lead Production Controller in the Marine Depot Maintenance Command of Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience leading teams in achieving operational objectives through effective material sourcing, schedule coordination, and resource planning. Experience in utilizing management tools to monitor workflow, resolve production issues, and analyze project data to support timely and efficient outcomes. You will assign work to subordinates based on priority, selectively considering the difficulty and requirements of assignment, and the capability of employees.
You will distribute and balance workload among team members in order to advise management of status and progress of project.
You will provide guidance in the procurement of parts and materials, routing and control of materials, shop orders, and cost estimates.
You will review and study technical source documentation, contractual requirements, Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Statements of Work (SOW), and specification requirements.
You will advise the supervisor of funding requirements, coordinate the movement of assets, prepare and releases the shop order.
You will conduct and/or coordinate the detailed analysis and study of the Team’s workload objectives and provide guidance to overall management.
