Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Minimum one year of experience in providing assistance in making travel/activity arrangements or performing related work preferred. Skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment. Skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures. Skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Skill to operate a personal computer utilizing specialized software, and point of sale systems. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.
Incumbent is assigned to the Camp Smith/MARFORPAC Information, Tickets, and Tours (I.T.T.) recreational activity and performs and/or assists in the operation of the program for eligible patrons. Based on established policies, incumbent carries out typical assignments such as: providing activity or event information, sells tickets to patrons for local entertainment and other activities such as sporting events, concerts, outer-Island tours, etc. Incumbent must be proactive in becoming familiar with these activities and reservation procedures of vendors. Maintains daily sales report, daily account report, and expenditures; reviews vendor invoices and resolves billing disputes, and effects adjustments for discounts and service charges. Helps to plan and coordinate details of recreational activities and maintains related supplies. Assists in planning, scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants. May be required to plan leisure travel within Hawaii to include air, room, car and cruises. Will provide additional support to the Camp Smith Marine Mart by checking out customer purchases and performing housekeeping duties such as cleaning or dusting fixtures and merchandise and sweeping. May sort and replenish merchandise. Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations. Provides meaningful connections through customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Able to perform daily duties with little or no supervision. Performs other related duties as assigned. Works at Kaneohe Bay and Camp Smith ITT Offices.
