For more information, visit https://www.mufg.jp/english Summary In this role you will collaborate with other senior technical team members and other developers from the Transaction Banking Technology – BET Liquidity Management to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative technology solutions. You will interact with various technology, product, and business teams across MUFG. Corporate Title: Vice President Reporting to: Liquidity Transaction and Reporting Location: Jersey City, NJ Roles and Responsibilities Major Duties Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flows, data usage and work processes. Translates application requirements and use cases into functional applications Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable applications Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications Obtains a highly detailed understanding of the applications for which the role is responsible Interfaces with other technology teams (both internal and external) Ensures secure coding and architecture guidelines are met Works closely with solution architects, lead developers and other enterprise stakeholders to ensure solution alignment Develops technical specifications for application development initiatives and technology changes and migrations Consults with partners from systems and other business units to achieve adherence with regulatory guidelines Identify bottlenecks and defects; devises solutions to these problems Updates knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid changes in technology, including languages, operating systems, development tools, etc. Job Requirements: Knowledge/Skills Candidate must have 8+ years’ experience developing Enterprise Java (J2EE) applications Experience utilizing frameworks and technologies such as UML, Spring, Junit, XML Some experience with database skills, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle a plus Some experience with web services, SOAP/REST Experience using messaging technologies a plus: MQ/JMS Strong ability to develop code and deploy to Linux systems Strong user of source code management tools like Git Ability to adapt to new environments and learn new technologies with minimal supervision Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work in cloud environments using microservices, containers, Kubernetes Preferred/Recommended Experience with automated testing Familiarity with design patterns Familiarity with Agile framework Familiarity with US Commercial Banking a plus Candidates will really stand out if they have these skills… Oracle Cloud Background Oracle Banking Background (OBDX and/or OBVAM expertise) General Requirements Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline Understanding of Agile and Waterfall Software Development Lifecycles Self-starter who works effectively with minimal direction Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code Performs analysis on production issues, proposes design changes and encourages operational improvements. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Strong written and verbal English communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with a wide variety of individuals Ability to code to third-party API’s, especially REST, for integration purposes. Help make buy versus build decisions by analyzing third-party tool capabilities. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields; applicable specialized training; or equivalent experience The typical base pay range for this role is between $134K - $182K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
