Job Description:
You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEMS SPECIALIST in the NAVY MEDICINE ASSESSMENTS and ANALYTICS (N58) of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
For GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience providing analytical assistance, advice and guidance to leaders, workgroups and peers on how to find solutions. - Experience providing analytical direction, guidance and support with formulation an analytical solution based on data and problem solving. - Experience assisting and leading in designing, presenting and delivering analytical associated findings for a command. - Experience preparing data for further analysis in software applications for a command. - Experience working independently in data collection, and applying analytical techniques to provide a recommendation for a command. You will provide data science expertise and analytical support for command Medicine
You will research, analyze, visualize, and assess medical data systems
You will provide expert insight on medical data systems, conduct, and provide appropriate analysis activities impacting command missions
You will conduct data collection, analyze, and query data from various medicine data warehouses
You will ascertain data to prep for formatting, manipulation, and basic analysis in support of Analytical Cell efforts
You will serve as an Analytical Cell representative who attends or is assigned to workgroups, committees or collaboration on teams
